Welcome
to my little corner of Cybespace that I have set aside for my own
personal rantings and ravings, about whichever topic just happens
to be on my mind at the time!!
I do try and keep this Blog up to date but it does sometimes get
forgotten in the everyday chaos that is my life. So do bear with
me.
Feedback is always welcome and can be done via the commenting on

Well I've arrived as promised and as usual for a Friday night there's no-one in the chatroom. Perhaps I shouldn't have annouced my intentions (Hehehe). I'm going to hang around for a bit but if someone doesn't come in soon I'm off to find company elsewhere.
Hello Friends!! Just checking in again, after a brief absence. The reason I am not around so much is I have decided to cut back on my online time to save a bit of money. Part of this masterplan was to change my ISP package and consequently I am now on the Pay as You Go scheme. I have done this because over the last two quarters I have been monitoring my online time and the figures just did not add up. It worked out that I was paying well over the odds for time I was not using, so I changed to tried and remedy this. Of course if my on line time should increase to a stage where I should need a better package I will look into changing it again.
Having said that... to all the gang I will be on line Tomorrow night (Friday) so see you all in the chatroom. TTFN
Its that time of day again... I'm just checking in to save the search parties the trouble of looking for me. Not much realy been happening over the last couple of days. So I have had some time to catch up with some work that needed doing on my website. Although I have noticed that I can't seem to get access to one of them, so I going to have to look into that. Other that this, like I said it has been pretty quiet, and I don't want to bore you with the details of my boring mundane existance, so save in the fact that the people who do think of me from time to time now know that I am still alive and kicking as it were I'll bid you a fond farewell until the next time!!
Yesterday I finally gave up the ghost and decided to invest in a newer car, because the Old Maestro has become totally unreliable in the starting department. It was either that or throw more good money after bad and enough is definitely enough. So you are now reading the blog of a proud owner of a brand new 13 year old car. (Heheh). Not exactly the bees knees I hear you say but it is more reliable than the other one and it has been very well looked after. So all I need now is a brand new job to go with the car. (Chance would be a fine thing)....
Well... what a week that was... with one thing and another!! ... Surprise visits from my wife's sister and Birthday parties and Anniversaries. I'm glad its all over and thngs can start getting back to normal. To tell the truth I could do with a break from all that alcohol and feasting. You start to lose track of the days after a while.... But like I said things are pretty much back to normal now and I'm a little glad!!
Busy...Busy... Busy!! the only trouble with having time on your hands and loads of projects to catch up on is I keep flitting from one to the other. This may sound all well and good but it doesn't really accomplish anything. So I guess I am going to have to prioritise some of these tasks. But then if I have got to sit down and make a list of the order of things I guess that is just one more job for me to do. Is there no end to this madness??
Thanks Steve!! The old link tutorial worked wonders. I managed to get it right first time!! I will have to think of a few more things that I can do to incoporate links into my Blogs. Don't you just love it when a plan comes together?
Well not much happened this weekend, except I got a little bit of work done towards revamping my site. I managed to get quite a bit of ground work done. So with a little luck I shall be adding to the site in the very future. What this space for annoucenments!!
I have a bit of a hobby, which will probably make me sound like a right old annorak, but it is a somewhat small but growing collection of mousemats of varying designs. But anyway I came across this one and it brought a little smile to my face. If nothing else it is a great piece of philosophy. (This is the first time I have tried this so here goes!!) To find out what tickled me so click here!!
Well, the kids have gone home after their breif visit and Linz has gone for a couple weeks as well. So now the house has been squared off after the visiting twin tornados, it does tend to rattle a bit. That is not to say that we are not enjoying the peace and quiet, I mean who wouldn't?? Another Friday night has arrived and I'm sat here in front of old faithful all on my lonesome as the other half has gone out to play darts. I thought I would take some time to try and catch up with a few things that I have let slip these past couple of days. I don't know if I can hold out tonight though as they have forecast thunderstorms for the area and I don't really want to chance losing another Modem, so I think to play it safe I shall be on and offline most of the night dodging the rather inclement British weather.
Just catching my breathe after two rather full days entertaining the kids and tomorrow looks like it will be no different as we shall be going to the beach as long as the weather holds. Mitchell, my grandson can't wait as he has bought a new Boogie Board with his birthday money and is itching to try it out. I must say that I am rather looking forward to it as it has been nearly two years since I have had time to go to the beach and my board has been rather neglected and gathering dust in the attic. So today I got it out of mothballs as it were and I'll endeavour not to drown myself tomorrow.
I have enjoyed having the kids here and it hardly seems fair but tomorrow is their last day as they go back on Wednesday. I even loose my own daughter for a fortnight as she is going back with them for a bit of a break and to be spoilt rotten by Ziggy her brother in law no doubt. So the house will seem like a bit of a ghost house in contrast to the last couple of days....
Well the Grankids and my stepdaughter got here eventually. You would think there were coming from the ends of the earth instead of Bristol. Still thats British Raill for you, they could organise the old preverbial in a brewery. In fact I can not remember the last time that I met them from the station and the train was on time, never mind being early. But anyways at least they arrived safe and sound, and they were still glad to see me. I have to spend the next five days or so trying to keep up with them, who said they keep you young??
Today has been one of those days that hardly anything has gone right or according to plan. We were to take delivery of a brand new washing machine today. The thing is they were supposed to fit it, take all the packing and take the old machine with them as it turned out they only manged one out of the three. Which was to take the old machine away, but only after I pointed out that they were supposed to take it with them. Just goes to prove that you can't get the staff these days and you never get the service you pay for. Even phoning the helpline to complain about the abysmal service was all in vain as there attitude was at least they did manage to take the old machine away. I ask you!!
Not much going on here at the moment, but I thought I had better drop a line or two to show that I am still alive and kicking. Its been pretty quiet here for the last couple of days. Although this state is not set to last as the Grand children are arriving tomorrow for a couple a days (There goes the neighbourhood!!). I don't mean that really I have missed them and I am looking forward to seeing them again and I know they are feeling just as anxious, even if it is only for me to take them to the beach so they can try out their new Boogie Boards. That will be an adventure!!
